Purpose
The Application Development UX Standards Workgroup is charged with recommending a set of visual design standards/best practices for applications developed internally to the University of Illinois. Having a consistent look and feel for these applications will improve the user experience for customers who are interacting with applications developed by multiple departments. It can also create efficiency, as each development team will be able to draw on the design, usability, and in some cases source code already developed. This workgroup expands on the work of the WIGG group to include additional design standards and best practices specifically for business web applications. Areas of focus include user experience, design, navigation, and accessibility.
Objectives
